Device Driver: Mr/Miss Y, if the hardware specification is not open then one has to hack it down to make the hardware work. Perhaps CHDK is also one of the best example. And by the way reverse engineering is not a bad idea. If you are a good “Software Engineer”, I believe you can also be a good hacker

Games: Mr/Miss Y: Opengl is used in OpenArena. I agree with you that games has to be improvised when compared with AOE or CS. But even then I know that the hackers would do it in future.

For your kind info, there was a time when people said GNU/Linux cannot have a good desktop. Now we have plenty. So these are one among the challenges that hackers take it up and implement them

Perhaps Y doesn’t know the meaning of FREE. He still believes Free as in free beer If Y belongs to your college then I have no words to say Jain.

Linux GUI: I think Y doesn’t know that KDE 4.2 version is far better than SUCKING windows vista . Every time one doesn’t have to transfer data encrypted from ram to hdd and vice versa(I don’t know why they had implemented like that urr).

Networking: Poor Y doesn’t knows about the power of GNU/Linux network. So better let Y bark. Because Y thinks that he/she is a mastero in networks

Last but not the least, Y doesn’t knows the meaning of Freedom. Y calls himself/herself as pirate
